Brussels Innovation Awards 2007 : the results
The first edition was a real success with more than 90 registrations for the 5 categories altogether. We would like to thank all participants. The committee for the preselection nominated 18 projects that were presented to a jury of experts presided by José Zurstrassen, founder of the Keytrade bank and Skynet. The results were announced the 28th of March in the framework of the trade fair Ondernemen/Entreprendre 2007 by Mr. Benoît Cerexhe, Minister of the government of the Brussels Capital Region, responsible for the Economy, Employment and Scientific Research.

The Brussels Capital Region has put innovation at the centre of its concerns and supports this in a number of ways. Today it would like to honour the companies that conceived and implemented innovations, which generated significant progress for our region. This is the reason why this first edition of the "Brussels Innovation Awards" is being organised. The registration period for the contest, open to all small and medium-sized companies of the region, has ended at midnight on February 28th.
The trophies shall be given to the winners, during the Awards Ceremony on March 28th at 7.30 p.m. at the Entreprendre Ondernemen 2007 Trade fair by Minister Benoît Cerexhe, Minister of the Government of the Brussels Capital Region, notably responsible for the Economy, Employment and Scientific Research and by professor Kenneth P. Morse, Senior Lecturer and Managing Director of Entrepreneurship Center of MIT, the renowned Massachusetts Institute of Technology in Boston (USA).
